We were absolutely delighted that Tasha-Mae Event Co-Ordinator shared this stunning styled shoot with us, as huge fans of the natural world, especially our feathered friends, we couldn't get enough of the imagery from this perfectly planned editorial.
Styled Shoot - The Owls of Edmondsham House
Posted on 28th January, 2021
Edmondsham House, located just outside of Wimborne, is a Tudor Manor House with Georgian additions, set in 6 acres of established grounds with walled kitchen garden and a 12th century church. In short, it's the perfect backdrop for Tasha-Mae's vision of stately grandeur so she took it back to tradition with chic and English elegance. Of course, Jack Aldridge Photography expertly captured the details with his romantic and candid style of wedding photography.
Moving swiftly on to cake, because well, it's cake and looks bloomin' amazing, Helen Jane Cake Design created a stunning three-tiered, gold leafed wedding cake, complete with edible lace detailing and handmade country garden sugar roses, grey leaves and soft bunny tails. There are even two mini-cakes and favour biscuits to complement the main attraction. An edible masterpiece, as always, from Helen.
Flowers! The ever-so-talented Dorset Flowers created an abundance of floral delights using delicately soft florals in muted tones. The deconstructed floral arch used initially at the church, was such an impressive feature it was important to Tasha-Mae to show couples that these creations are not just a single use item and can be moved to different locations throughout your wedding day, helping you get the most out of your floral budget and upping the wow factor throughout.
You've had a little while to scroll through gorgeous imagery now, so it's only fair to tell you about that stunning wedding dress and beaut of a suit from Minster Bridal. The groom wears a black tuxedo, complete with bow tie which perfectly complements his bride in her Martina Liana 1059 dress. Martina Liana 1059 offers a V neckline, with a sheer bodice and beautifully detailed, shaped train. The beading throughout, and the sheer lace cutouts over the hips add a little sparkle and sexiness.
Now, when it comes to stationery and tablescapes, I'm afraid it doesn't get any better than including owls, you may try, but owls for the win. Carol, of Laurel Designs was behind the gorgeous wedding table set-up which absolutely wowed us. The owls of course, whilst being pampered by everyone on the shoot, were expertly handled and directed by Fab Falconry and it's only fair to have this section as a shared one as the owls feature rather a lot around the tablescape. Laurel Designs were super busy because as well as the styling, they created the beautiful stationery. Using a recycled cardstock for the table plan cards, table number and menu cards, these were given a very on-trend brass-fastened addition. We really love how this has a practical function for the menus, adding a place card to each place setting, but the aesthetic also carries through for design continuity in the remainder of the suite.

For the styling of the bride and groom, Charlee Hulbert Bridal Make-up made the bride glow with her gorgeously warm and earthy tone makeup, and Bournemouth Bridal Hair & Make-up absolutely smashed the natural looking up-do, using soft loose strands to work with the detailed braiding into the chignon. The gorgeous diamond and pearl jewellery was provided by Allum & Sidaway who have several local branches and super lovely staff! This complemented the stylish and elegant look to the day, carefully curated by the entire team.
