This shoot just fills us with Springtime joy!
Feeling all kinds of fresh at Lily & Lottie HQ today in this unbelievable Easter weekend weather so we thought we'd show you this gorgeous Spring styled shoot courtesy of our friends at Amazing Face & TP Photography. A simple and fresh aesthetic for this beaut of a shoot back in 2017, using utterly gorgeous florals from Floral Design by Stephanie Jevons plus nature's own bounty of bluebells and blossoming crops found in and around the charming Dapplewood Caravan Site.
The models hair and makeup were expertly completed by Caroline and Elke of Amazing Face, using their many years of expertise in enhancing a bride's natural beauty to be the best version of her true self for her big day.
As always, the photo ninja that is Greg of TP Photography captured the day in his light and natural style and it marries perfectly with the light and fresh look of this gorgeous shoot. Thanks for sharing guys! Keep reading below for awesome makeup tips from Amazing Face.
Top Tips from Caroline of Amazing Face We all suffer at some point from dry lips so here is how to keep them in perfect condition like this beautiful bride in the spring bluebells; -
On the big day: apply and maintain the perfect lipstick
The biggest challenge for lipstick-wearing brides is maintaining the look – you want it to be as long lasting as possible, and these are the ways to make it happen:
1. Pre-lipstick prep - On the morning of your wedding exfoliate lips as well as face and moisturise well. Any dryness, flaking or peeling can be gently eliminated by using a toothbrush (moisturise and never pull peeling skin off).
2. It’s a one-liner - Once the base is complete, use a lip liner to stop lipstick bleeding. If you are not comfortable with one, just use a little in the V and outer corners of the mouth it makes lipstick look less harsh and completes the lips making them whole when you smile!
3. Blot and powder - Apply lipstick blot and reapply blot then powder and if necessary apply again. To keep lipstick off your teeth, pop your index finger into mouth and pull out any excess that would have gone on your teeth will now be on finger! Wipe finger so it doesn't go on your dress.
4. The finishing touch - Lipgloss is next, this makes touching up quicker and easier but if wearing a veil make sure it's not too sticky.
My go to fave lip products for brides are Dior Universal Lip Liner & Dior Lip Glow (shade 001)
