10 Wedding Dresses Giving Us The Winter Vibes

With photos of everyone's Christmas trees circulating my facebook feed, and mine still firmly stowed in the loft, because, well, it's November... I thought I'd look at something else that brings me cheer in the Wintertime - gorgeous wedding dresses. I've been scouring the internet, looking for dresses that give us all the Winter feels and musing over the perks of a less than Summery wedding.

MORILEE - Kristabelle

Beads? Yep. Embroidery? Check. Feathers? Oh hell yes! A super intricate ball gown silhouette with a plunging off-the-shoulder neckline can only mean a feast for the eyes. The gorgeous sleeves and the waterfall of feathers just make us think Ice Queen in the best possible way.

JESUS PEIRO - 270

A mermaid dress made of stretch crêpe and embroidered chantilly lace with fringes/jewelled makes us feel very 'roaring twenties' but also, gives us beautiful icicle vibes. The jewelled fringing will look sensational as it catches the light, and imagine your first dance with that movement in the dress!

ELLIS BRIDALS - Darcy

This slim sheath dress offers vine lace to shape the figure, and continues this beautiful detail throughout the sleeves, high-neckline, back and frames the stunning train. I mean, look at it!

MAGGIE SOTTERO - Rachel

Winter fairytale in mind? You need this dress. A timeless classic that achieves formality without being overbearing. Rachel is an off-the-shoulder A-line wedding dress that will absolutely have you singing 'Once Upon A Dream' as you swish before the mirror.

SOTTERO & MIDGLEY - Aston

Those SLEEVES! They might lend warmth on a chilly day but their primary objective is to just look stunning, the detailing is exquisite. A crepe fit-and-flare dress that is subtle yet stylish, and the flow on that train - eeep!

MORILEE - Serendipity

So, Winter weddings can be a bit on the bling side. So how do you make sure you stand out amongst all of the sparkle? A metallic printed organza ball gown with cathedral length train should do it. Oh yeah, and it comes with detachable beaded gauntlets for a little extra shimmer and shine.

SOTTERO & MIDGLEY - Abbott

The beauty of this dress, is its simplicity. An elegant statement dress with gorgeous lace cut-out detailing and puff sleeves. This dress is just the epitome of sophistication, designed to be worn by a bride that just oozes style.

MORILEE - Regina

A-Line prettiness, here we come! Cap sleeves balance the deep V of this shimmering dress, made this way by crystal and pearl beading over floral embroidery on a chantilly lace bodice with a tulle ball gown skirt. An illusion back and buttons completes this made-for-Christmas number.

SOTTERO & MIDGLEY - Cory

My absolute favourite! Cory is a stunning runway-inspired statement of a dress. Illusion back and sleeves, with some serious V's at the front and back make this a dress I could stare at for hours on end. Plus, as it's lined with stretch jersey, it will be seriously comfortable - who says you can't have it all?!

SUZANNE NEVILLE - Sapphire, Flores Collection

OBSESSED with this portrait neckline. This dress offers a romantic, vintage feel with the crossover wrap detail and off the shoulder sleeves framing your shoulders beautifully. With the simple and slim belt, this beaut nips in at the waist before cascading into a full ballgown skirt - with pockets!

More perks to Winter nuptials;

  1. Accessories! Of course there are so many more accessories for Winter brides, stoles, capes, jackets, furs (faux, I hope) - there are so many more options to make your look entirely unique.

  2. You can never have too much sparkle! Chances are, you'll be competing with some fairly substantial venue decorations so if you want to bring the bling, Winter is the time to do it, without looking like you're over-doing it.
